Francisco Toste, 65th Medical Group facility manager, celebrates 40 years of civil service with the U.S. Air Force, Nov. 12, 2012, Lajes Field. Toste, a native of Terceira, started his service on Oct. 13, 1972 as a billeting clerk. He worked there for nine years before moving over to the civil engineer squadron and working at the service call desk, then as a translator, on to drafting and ended in the surveying department.
